PITTSBURGH — Two women who were at the Las Vegas concert that became the scene of the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history returned home Tuesday morning.
Meredith Wagner, of Mount Lebanon, and her friend, Jessica Glover, feel lucky to be home after the senseless tragedy that unfolded Sunday night.
“We made calls to both of our moms and were like, listen, there were gunshots and we are terrified,” Wagner said.
The women were near the back of the crowd and made a run for it when the gunfire erupted.

“We heard the initial pops, and we looked up at the sky to see, expecting fireworks. Then we heard the rattling of a machine gun and looked at each other and grabbed each other's hands and ran,” Wagner said.
