PITTSBURGH,None — As Steeler fans converge on the North Shore, road crews will plan restrictions and closures around Saturday night's game. Below is a complete listing of all scheduled work.
Fort Duquesne Bridge
Single lane closures on southbound (inbound) North Shore Expressway and southbound (inbound) Route 65 approaching and crossing the lower deck of Fort Duquesne Bridge from 7 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday.
The lower (inbound) deck of the Fort Duquesne Bridge and all inbound ramps will be fully closed from 4 a.m. Sunday through 5 a.m. Monday. Traffic will be detoured using the West End Bridge to Saw Mill Run Boulevard to the inbound Parkway West.
The ramp from the inbound (southbound) Fort Duquesne Bridge to Fort Duquesne Boulevard is closed through Sept. 10.
Parkway East (I-376)
Single lane traffic on the outbound (eastbound) Parkway East between the Churchill and Pennsylvania Turnpike interchanges will occur from 8 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday and from 10 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday. The outbound ramps at the Penn Hills interchange and off-ramps to Plum and Monroeville may also be closed during the same timeframes.
Parkway West (I-376)
Two ramps connecting Business Route 376 (Old Business Route 60) to the Parkway West in Moon Township will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday. Inbound and outbound detours will be posted.
I-79
Traffic on northbound I-79 will be reduced to a single lane approaching the Neville Island Bridge from 7 p.m. Friday through 3 a.m. Saturday.
Route 28
Northbound traffic on Route 28 will remain in a single lane pattern crossed over onto the southbound lanes from the Shaler Water Treatment Facility to the Etna interchange through late November.
A brief traffic stoppage of approximately 15 minutes will occur on Route 28 at 8 a.m. Sunday in the area of the Bull Creek Road/Tarentum interchange.
Route 65
Route 65 is reduced to a single lane in both directions long-term in the area of the I-79 interchange with northbound traffic crossed over onto the southbound lanes. All ramps connecting Route 65 to I-79 are also closed to facilitate the crossover. Traffic is being detoured using the Sewickley Bridge to Route 51 to I-79. These traffic patterns will remain in place through fall.
