RUSHVILLE, Ind. — A central Indiana community has rallied behind a longtime barber whose family’s home was destroyed in a fire last week.
Promise Bone has been cutting hair in Rushville for 14 years, WXIN reported. Her home, which was not insured, caught fire on early on Good Friday and burned down, the television station reported. Bone, her husband, two sons and a pet bird made it out of the house, but since the fire they have been forced to stay with relatives, according to WXIN.
"I was thinking, ‘What do I do now,’ and ‘Life’s about to get real hard,’" Bone told the television station.
