BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — A tourist snapped a photo of a Florida bobcat with a non-native green iguana in its mouth at the Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge in Boynton Beach.
The photo, taken by Vincent Sinagria while on a tour of the refuge, showed a green iguana being taken away by the bobcat.
The iguana population in south Florida has been growing and causing various issues.
Wildlife officials said the iguana is a non-native species to Florida that can cause major issues by digging into the ground and damaging seawalls and sidewalks.
