Police: Amazon warehouse employees stole more than $100K in Apple products

MIDDLETOWN, Del. — Four employees of a Delaware Amazon warehouse have been charged in connection with an Apple product theft ring.

Amazon loss prevention notified Middletown police Thursday of the internal theft, the Middletown Police Department said in a statement. Employees Tyaisha Butler, Taneesha Pinkett, Isaac Francis and Shadaria Bell were charged with theft of over $100,000 and second-degree conspiracy in connection to the thefts.

Police said the four employees worked together to steal more than $100,000 worth of Apple products "over the course of several months." Nineteen products, including Apple watches, a laptop and an iPad, were among the items stolen, The Delaware News Journal reported.

Butler, Pinkett and Francis were arrested and released on Thursday. Bell has an active warrant for her arrest, police said.
