"Reputation" is the first album in two years to sell a million copies in a tracking week. The last record to do  so was Adele's "25" in 2015. That album sold 3.48 million its first week.

Swift’s sixth studio album, released Friday, is her fourth to sell 1 million records in a week. Past records achieving the feat include “1989,” “Red” and “Speak Now.” She’s the only artists ever to have four million-selling weeks since Nielsen Music started tracking music sales electronically in 1991, according to Billboard.
