NEW YORK CITY — A 22-year-old woman fell five stories from the roof of her Manhattan apartment building Saturday evening and survived, according to media reports.
The victim was taking skyline photos from the roof with friends around 8 p.m. when she lost her balance, plunging off the building in the Kips Bay neighborhood and landing in a small outdoor space, according to WNBC-TV.
The woman, identified as Reilly Hamilton, suffered severe injuries, including a fractured pelvis, broken ankle and broken arm, WNBC reported. She was hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
