AKRON, Ohio — A 1-year-old baby was killed and two adults were hurt after gunfire erupted outside an Ohio home, police said.
According to WOIO and WKYC, the incident occurred about 9:30 p.m. Sunday on Fifth Avenue in Akron. Someone fired into a home, striking the child, a woman and a man, authorities said.
The baby died at a nearby hospital, while the adults, who "sustained gunshot wounds to their lower extremeties," were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Akron police said in a news release.
