The crash happened around 1 p.m. on U.S. 67 near State Road 328. KAIT-TV reported.

At least two people have been airlifted in critical condition to hospitals in Memphis, Tennessee, KARK reported.

Clay County Sheriff Terry Miller said the church van was from Tennessee, but added he did not know if the van was headed to or from a church camp, the television station reported. The vehicle that collided with the van was a commercial vehicle carrying fish, Miller said.

Dave Parker, a spokesperson for the Arkansas Department of Transportation, said those two people were children, Yahoo News reported.

Parker said the van was struck when the truck made a U-turn.

The others who were injured were taken to an area hospital, KAIT reported. All of the people who were injured were in the church van, the television station reported.
