Kingsbury, 42, is in his third season as head coach of the Cardinals (5-0), who are the last undefeated team in the 2021 season.

On Tuesday, linebacker Chandler Jones was put on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the team said.

Also testing positive were quarterbacks coach Cam Turner and defensive tackle Zach Allen, KPHO reported. Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph and assistant head coach/special teams coordinator Jeff Rodgers will split head coaching responsibilities, according to the television station.

Kingsbury is the first NFL head coach to miss a game this season due to the virus, NBC Sports reported. The Cardinals currently lead the NFC West.

Kingsbury has compiled an 18-18-1 record with the Cardinals. Arizona went 5-10-1 during his first season before posting an 8-8 record in 2020.
