CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. — One North Carolina sheriff’s office has a new K-9 deputy keeping streets safe.

K-9 Deputy Nibbles is the newest member of the Craven County Sheriff’s Office K-9 program after his swearing-in ceremony Thursday.

K-9 Nibbles, was one of 31 pit bull puppies seized from a suspected dogfighting operation in Canada in 2015.

Officials said at least four of the dogs now serve in law enforcement, and others are certified service dogs.
