Members of Wild Florida Rescue on Thursday were able to catch the animal roaming through wooded areas and neighborhoods with a jar of Utz Sourdough Pretzels over its head, TCPalm reported.

Wild Florida co-founder Baleen “Heather” Pepe-Dillon said via email to TCPalm that the coyote was dehydrated and thin and had some infected areas near its ear and jaw, likely from the container.

“It was just a flood of adrenaline and immediate urgency to catch her this time, knowing this would be her last day if we didn’t,” Wild Florida Rescue’s Crystene Prokop, 30, told the website.

The animal was taken to Busch Wildlife Sanctuary in Jupiter for rehabilitation and medical care, she said.

“To those that worry about pets, please don’t in this case, she will not be released back into or near any neighborhoods,” Wild Florida Rescue said in a Facebook post. “When she is ready she will be released to a large acreage of (the) wild through strict regulations.”
