HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Officials are investigating after a man was found shot to death early Sunday morning in Harris County, Texas.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, in a Facebook post, confirmed that deputies were called out to a house in East Harris County by East Freeway and Thompson Road after reports that a man was found dead outside of a house following a possible domestic violence incident.
The incident happened just after 6:30 a.m. Sunday, according to KHOU.
A woman who is suspected to be the shooter reportedly went over to a house nearby and is cooperating with the investigation. According to KTRK, it is unclear if any charges will be made.
The sheriff said that the man and woman were seen arguing inside the house before the shooting, KHOU reported.
Gonzalez said the man and woman had been divorced for about two years, adding that the two still may have been living together, KHOU reported. A previous arrest was also reported at the house, but the sheriff’s office did not confirm who was the one that was arrested.
“They still cohabitate or live together, is what we are told. We don’t know what their living arrangements were,” Gonzalez said during a news conference, according to KTRK. “We’ll have to determine exactly what happened, what led up to the shooting.”
Officials have not yet released the names of the man or woman.
