"Modern Family" actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson and husband Justin Mikita welcomed a baby boy this week, multiple news outlets are reporting.
According to People magazine, the child, named Beckett Mercer Ferguson-Mikita, is the couple's first. He arrived Tuesday, USA Today reported.
"The new parents are overjoyed and excited for this new journey as a family of three," a spokeswoman for Ferguson, 44, told People.
"This is something I haven't even mentioned to anyone, if we could just keep it between the three of us and you all, but I'm actually expecting a baby in July with my husband," he said during a January appearance on "The Late Late Show With James Corden."
The news came six months after Ferguson first announced that he and the 34-year-old Mikita, who have been married for seven years, were expecting, according to the entertainment magazine.
