It’s not something you’d expect to see, but there are great white sharks swimming off the East Coast of the U.S.
Take a look at a map shared by OCEARCH, a group that tracks the migration of sharks.
Another one -- Ferg, an 11-foot, 8-inch male -- was pinged by the Santee Coastal Reserve, South Carolina, between Myrtle Beach and Charleston, on Friday morning.
Right now, there are tagged great white sharks swimming between the Florida Keys and the Gulf of Mexico, but there are more than a dozen swimming at the southern tip of North Carolina and the coastline of South Carolina, WTVD reported.
One shark -- Miss May, a 10-foot, 2-inch female -- was pinged Saturday evening between Surfside Beach and Murrells Inlet in South Carolina, south of Myrtle Beach.
In addition to the great white sharks, there are also some tiger sharks in the region, WTVD reported.
