Yo-Yo Ma gives impromptu performance after receiving 2nd vaccination in Massachusetts

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Cellist Yo-Yo Ma made the waiting period easier for Massachusetts residents who received their COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday.

After receiving his second COVID-19 shot at Berkshire Community College, Ma, 65, used his 15-minute observation period to give a concert for others waiting to leave, The Berkshire Eagle reported.

After receiving his shot, Ma took a seat along the wall of the observation area. Masked and socially distanced, Ma played the cello for 15 minutes to an appreciative audience, the Eagle reported.
