WVU football player arrested on sexual assault charges, no longer listed on roster

MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. — A West Virginia University football player was arrested early Thursday morning on sexual assault charges.

Channel 11’s Dave Bondy reported that redshirt linebacker D’Avante Henry is in the Monongalia County jail on $100,000 bond and is no longer listed on university’s football roster.

A reporter from WBOY-TV broke the story around 2 a.m.

Henry is a first-year player at WVU and came to West Virginia from a college in Arizona. Details of his arrest were not immediately released.
