PITTSBURGH,None — The Mel Blount Youth Home of Pennsylvania hosted the 13th Annual Celebrity Roast Honoring former Pittsburgh Steelers' Running back Jerome Bettis on Friday.
The dinner raises money for the Washington County youth home, run by NFL Hall of Famer Mel Blount.
More than 1,000 people were expected to attend this year's black tie event.
Hines Ward, Donnie Shell, John Banaszak, Robin Cole and Mike Tomlin are among the notable celebrities who attended, along with a host of former and current players.
The Mel Blount Youth Home provides beds for short-term emergency shelter for children.
The youth home offers a structured and nurturing environment that assures every child's safety.
The children live together in a group home setting and participate in an array of activities designed to address individual treatment goals.
