Favored by 54.5 points entering Saturday’s matchup with Bucknell, Pitt performed just as expected.

Standout sophomore quarterback Mason Heintschel threw six touchdown passes in a 59-0 win over the visiting Bison, giving way to backup Holden Geriner halfway through the third quarter. Pitt accounted for 766 total yards and 574 passing yards, both of which set new school records.

Bucknell entered the fourth quarter with fewer than 100 total yards. The Bison didn’t surpass that mark until under 12 minutes remained.
