Rhode Island transfer guard Ishmael Leggett commits to Pitt

PITTSBURGH — Pitt has added another weapon to next year’s roster via the transfer portal.

Rhode Island transfer guard Ishmael Leggett made things official, committing to the Panthers after visiting Pitt over the weekend. Leggett is a 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard out of Prince George County, Maryland, who averaged 16.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game this season for the Rams.

Leggett hit 48 of his 150 three-point attempts this year, a 32% mark from deep. After scoring a combined 423 points in his first two seasons at Rhode Island, Leggett made a huge jump in production this season, scoring 509 points this year alone.
