PITTSBURGH — It’s been nearly a month since the Pittsburgh Pirates were supposed to kick off their 2020 season at PNC Park, but so far no games have been played because of COVID-19.

During this time, many fans have been left in the lurch when it comes to season or individual game tickets.

Wednesday, however, the Pirates president Travis Williams announced that they are offering ticket owners the option to retain their tickets and use them for a future game, or get a refund.

Also in the letter, Williams acknowledged that games scheduled for the month of May are “unlikely to take place as planned.”
