‘Coming to an End’: Steelers Legend Terry Bradshaw admits his TV career is almost over

PITTSBURGH — This story initially appeared on SteelersNow.com

Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw has been a staple on FOX’s pregame show since 1994. His time as a broadcaster is coming to an end soon, however.

“I realize my time on television as a sports broadcaster is coming to an end,” the 78-year-old Bradshaw said in an interview with “NBC News Daily.”

Bradshaw told NBC, “I just love life. Billy Graham said, and I never forgot this quote, he said: ‘The day you retire is the day you start dying.’ I’m a workaholic; I love to work.”

Bradshaw reportedly signed a contract extension somewhat recently. The new deal will take him through the 2028-29 season, when FOX will air its next Super Bowl. So it doesn’t appear this season will be Bradshaw’s final one.

“I love my job. This year was the first year that I got nervous,” Bradshaw explained. “I wanted to extend my contract. So I signed through the Super Bowl. Two more years. I’ll be 80.”
