PITTSBURGH — Steelers guard David DeCastro left Friday night’s controlled scrimmage early after suffering an undisclosed injury during the hour-long practice.
Mike Tomlin did not say what happened to DeCastro, but the five-time Pro Bowl and three-time All-Pro guard had missed practice all of last week with a calf injury and had just come back to practice earlier this week.

“He’s in the process of being evaluated,” Tomlin said. “I’ll have some information the next time we get together. Other than that, not a lot to report. We have some guys working their way back from what could be described as day-to-day things.”
A first-round draft pick out of Stanford in 2012, DeCastro has appeared in 112 games, making 111 starts. He has missed just three games since 2014.
