Steelers top two WRs both miss practice with injury

LATROBE, Pa. — Starting wide receivers DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman Jr. missed Tuesday’s indoor Pittsburgh Steelers training camp practice at St. Vincent College with injuries, and as a result will likely miss the team’s preseason opener at Acrisure Stadium this Thursday night.

Pittman suffered an apparent right leg injury during the team’s Saturday night practice at Latrobe Memorial Stadium. After suffering the injury in a 7-on-7 period on Saturday, Pittman did not return to practice, though he remained on the field and was able to walk under his own power.

Pittman and Metcalf both missed the team’s Monday practice at St. Vincent College, and wide receiver Germie Bernard and quarterback Aaron Rodgers both confirmed that they weren’t at practice on Tuesday.
