Here are the Penguins players with the highest salaries for the 2021-2022 season

PITTSBURGH — NHL regular season play began just this past week, with the Pittsburgh Penguins already two games in.

This season, the team’s top earner is alternate captain and center, Evgeni Malkin. Currently, Malkin is on the long-term injured reserve list after undergoing knee surgery in June.

Team captain and center, Sidney Crosby, is the second top earner. He is currently on the injured nonroster list after undergoing wrist surgery in September.

Here is the list of the top 10 highest paid players on the team, including their salaries for this year:

1. Evgeni Malkin, Center, $9,500,000

2. Sidney Crosby, Center, $9,000,000

3. Kris Letang, Right Defense, $7,250,000
