Penguins unveil 2016-17 preseason schedule

PITTSBURGH — Though the Pittsburgh Penguins just won the 2016 Stanley Cup, the preseason schedule has been released and hockey is once again around the corner.

The Pens will kick off their preseason against the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday, Sept 27 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.

The six game stretch will end with the Penguins hosting the Columbus Blue Jackets in Pittsburgh.

  • Tuesday, Sept. 27 – at Detroit (7:30 p.m.)
  • Wednesday, Sept. 28 – at Chicago (8:30 p.m.)
  • Friday, Sept. 30 – Chicago (7 p.m.)
  • Sunday, Oct. 2 – at Columbus (4 p.m.)
  • Wednesday, Oct. 5 – Detroit (7 p.m.)
  • Saturday, Oct. 8 – Columbus (4 p.m.)
