PITTSBURGH — Forget your office dress code and grab your best Penguins gear to wear Thursday. It’s Black and Gold Day in Allegheny County.
County Executive Rich Fitzgerald and Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto want everyone to wear black and gold to help cheer on the Penguins in Game 7 against the Ottawa Senators.

“We know from experience that no one should ever count a Pittsburgh team out, and Game 7 will be no exception,” Fitzgerald said. “Let’s show everyone watching that when you play a Pittsburgh team, you play the entire region.”

It doesn’t matter if it’s Penguins, Steelers or Pirates gear. The teams from the City of Champions wear the same color – which makes it easy for fans to show their support.
