Ones to Watch: Vincent Zhou

BEIJING, China — Vincent Zhou made history at the Olympic games four years ago when he became the first athlete to successfully land a quadruple lutz in Olympic competition.

Off the ice, Zhou loves to hike and does a lot of in in Colorado Springs, where he trains now.

“It’s like just me and nature and I’m just one foot in front of the other, just keep pushing forward,” he said. “Climbing mountains and stuff is a good metaphor for the climb to success.”

His parents and family are from Beijing, so he said that’s extra motivation do well in these Olympics.

Zhou finished sixth in South Korea.
