Skylights Player of the Week for Championship Week

PITTSBURGH — We know there are a lot of amazing high school football players across western Pennsylvania that put on a show on the field each weekend. Our Player of the Week will highlight some of the best performances each week.

WPIAL Championship Week: McClain Flinn - Thomas Jefferson

In the clutch, McClain Flinn came through big time for Thomas Jefferson. He came down with the game-clinching interception in the end zone in overtime for the Jaguars and scored a touchdown earlier in the game.

Anderson Cynkar helped lead his team to victory Friday night with a pick-six and a kickoff return!

WPIAL PLAYOFFS Week 1: Bralen Henderson - Central Catholic

No. 81 Bralen Henderson was all over the field on defense Friday night. He helped lead the team to a shutout in the 6-A semifinals

Week 7: Terrance Glenn, McKeesport

McKeesport’s Terrance Glenn had two touchdowns for senior night in the team’s statement win over Thomas Jefferson, including an 82-yard run

Week 6: Miguel Jackson, Pine-Richland

Offensive lineman Miguel Jackson ran for a touchdown and also threw for a touchdown in the team’s win over North Hills.

Week 5: Thad Gray, Western Beaver

Thad Gray was all over the field for Western Beaver in their battle of undefeated teams with Brentwood. He had three touchdowns in just the first half.

Week 4: Evan Lewis, Elizabeth Forward

Evan Lewis accounted for all FIVE of Elizabeth Forward’s touchdowns in the blowout win over South Park.

Week 3: Khalil Dinkins, North Allegheny

Khalil Dinkins scored two touchdowns in a little over a minute, one on offense and the other on defense. Those scores blew the game wide open for the Tigers.

Week 2: Derrick Davis, Gateway

Gateway’s Derrick Davis was named Player of the Week for Week 2. Davis ran all over Bethel Park, racking up four touchdowns just in the first half.

Week 1: Eddy Tillman, Central Catholic

Central Catholic’s Eddy Tillman was named Player of the Week for Week 1. Tillman is a running back for Central Catholic. He had several breakaway runs and a touchdown Friday night.
