Let’s be clear: the Stanley Cup hasn’t returned to Pittsburgh – because it never really left.

But now that the Penguins have repeated as Stanley Cup champions and cemented their legacy as an historic team, it’s time to have fun.

The celebration started on the ice at Bridgestone Arena as soon as the final buzzer sounded and it’s continued after the team brought the iconic trophy back from Nashville on Monday.

TRENDING NOW:

It's not unusual to see Sidney Crosby with the Stanley Cup, but it is unusual to see him just stroll into a grocery store or dry cleaners with it.

After making a couple of unexpected stops, Lord Stanley was the featured guest at a bash at Sidney Crosby’s Sewickley home.

"He says, 'Hey! You guys wanna see the Cup?'" Grant Kraus, manager of Safran's Supermarket said. Kraus said Crosby went to his car and came back into the Sewickley grocery store with the Stanley Cup in tow.

It didn't take long for word to spread about the unexpected guest and employees came up to take their picture with it.

The victory tour will continue Tuesday night when the Penguins bring the Stanley Cup to PNC Park before the Pirates game.
