PITTSBURGH — Fall continues to take center stage as a stretch of gorgeous, autumn-like weather settles over the area for the next three days. High pressure will dominate the region, bringing crisp morning chills followed by beautifully sunny and mild afternoons through Saturday afternoon.

Enjoy the beautiful sunshine while it lasts, because a big shift in the weather arrives just in time for the weekend. A developing storm system carrying the tropical remnants of what is expected to become Hurricane Isaias will push our way, bringing clouds back into the area Saturday. Widespread rain from the system moves into the area Sunday along with gusty winds. The rain could become steady and heavy at times, accompanied by brisk winds that will make it feel noticeably cooler.

The exact track and intensity of Isaias’s remnants are still developing, so before making outdoor plans Sunday check the Severe Weather Team 11 forecast for the latest timing and rainfall totals.
