PITTSBURGH — Clear, calm and chilly this evening; temperatures will fall from the 60s to the 50s and even 40s for some by bedtime tonight.

Make sure to find your warm coat for the morning because temperatures will take a tumble overnight to the lower 40s and 30s. Patchy frost is possible in spots for the first time this fall.

A Frost Advisory has been issued for Forest, Clarion and Indiana counties as well as the ridges of Westmoreland, Fayette, Preston counties from midnight tonight until 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

If you are in the advised locations, make sure to cover or bring in sensitive outdoor plants as they may get damaged from the cold tonight.

Still sunny and cool Tuesday; highs will only make it to the low to mid 60s in the afternoon, with another chilly night expected Wednesday morning as lows will drop to the low 40s.

This pleasant, dry stretch will last through at least the first half of the weekend, but temperatures will start to rebound above average by midweek. Highs on Wednesday will jump back to the low 70s and continue with seasonable high temperatures in the afternoon hours through the weekend. The next chance for showers may come late Sunday evening or Monday of next week.
