PITTSBURGH — Temperatures will climb quickly Thursday, jumping from the mid-50s early in the day to the upper 80s by early afternoon. It will be even hotter Friday, with highs touching 90 degrees, so plan ahead before you head outdoors.
Parked cars can heat up quickly in this kind of heat, with temperatures climbing well over 100 degrees when the air temperature is close to 90. Never leave infants, children, or pets alone in a parked car.
A stray shower or isolated storm is possible on Saturday, with cooler, more comfortable air filtering in on Sunday.
