PITTSBURGH — Showers and a few more rounds of steady rain will continue to move through the area overnight and early Thursday, raising the risk for localized flooding. A Flood Watch has been issued from Pittsburgh north where the steadiest rain is expected to fall.
Rain may still be in the area for the Thursday morning commute, so allow some extra time on the roads. Many schools have started the new school year so stay alert around bus stops and along roadways where kids might be walking.
A break in the rain is expected mid-morning with hot, humid weather settling in. If clouds clear out fast enough, some areas could see heat index values over 90 degrees.
