Steady rain moves into our area Monday

The winds with Tropical Storm Florence continue to weaken, but the steady rains will be slow to let up.

Showers will move into our area before sunrise Monday, moving through Greene, Fayette and possibly Washington counties.

Rain will make it into Pittsburgh during the morning commute. It will be generally light, but a brief steady downpour will be possible.

Widespread flooding is not in the forecast, but heavy rain falling over the same areas could create localized flooding in poor drainage areas.

Mid-morning through the afternoon, watch for waves of steadier rain to fall at times.

A strong to severe thunderstorm could also develop late day, with isolated damaging winds or an isolated tornado.
