A Flood Watch is in effect for Allegheny, Washington and Westmoreland counties and points south through 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Tuesday will feature scattered showers; still some steady pockets of rain are possible; highs will be around 60 degrees.
Fall officially arrives Tuesday evening at 8:05 p.m. with steady rain expected. Any additional steady rainfall over already saturated ground could create additional flooding issues through Wednesday morning. Make sure to stay weather-aware and have a way to get alerts.
Dry conditions start to move in Thursday for the end of the work week and are possible Friday and into the start of the next weekend. Highs will be in the 60s and overnight lows will dip down into the 40s later this week.
