Summer-like temperatures with humidity making it feel even hotter

PITTSBURGH — It will feel more like the middle of summer today with high temperatures pushing well into the 80s. Humidity will make it feel closer to 90 degrees in the city of Pittsburgh.

It will be dry much of the day, but showers and storms will start to fire up this evening northwest of Pittsburgh and drop through much of the area after dark.

Strong storms could bring damaging winds and heavy rain to parts of the region. Many areas will see more than an inch of rain overnight, leading to flooding concerns for some spots.

On and off rain will continue much of the day Thursday.

It will also be turning cooler for the second half of the week with highs in the 70s Thursday and Friday. 80s will be back for the weekend.
