Summer-like warm-up on the way, followed by a 30-degree temperature drop

PITTSBURGH — A brief summer-like warm-up is heading our way, with temperatures climbing into the low 80s under plenty of sunshine on Tuesday.

Unfortunately, the unseasonable warmth won’t last long.

Showers and the threat of thunderstorms return Wednesday ahead of a strong, late-week weather system that will send temperatures plummeting 30 degrees by the weekend.
