PITTSBURGH — Have the fans and AC ready to roll this week as high temperatures climb to near 90 for the first time this year. On average, we get about ten 90-degree or warmer days each year.
Morning low temperatures will also be warm which may make sleeping more difficult.
Dry conditions will stick around too, with only a slight chance of showers over the next several days. The combination of dry, warm weather may set up a “Heat Island Effect” which brings even warmer temperatures around urban areas and cities and slightly cooler temperatures in suburbs.
