PITTSBURGH — After a mild end to November, temperatures will continue to stay above average for the first weekend in December.

It will be a chilly start Saturday with temperatures below freezing. Winds will be calm, so the wind chill will not be an issue.

Highs will be in the upper 40's Saturday and near 50 on Sunday.

High pressure is in control across the region and that will dominate our weather pattern throughout the weekend. The Pittsburgh area will be dry with sun and a few clouds Saturday and Sunday.

The milder air will stick around for the first part of next week. While it will be a dry start to the day Monday, showers move back in overnight into Tuesday.

Tuesday will be the wettest day of the week with occasional showers expected.
