PITTSBURGH — A big weather shift is heading our way just in time for the weekend.
Pack the umbrella on Friday, as a strong cold front brings widespread rain showers during the morning.
Winds will pick up as the system moves through, and a gusty thunderstorm could cause isolated wind damage mid-morning through early afternoon.
Temperatures will fall throughout the day from early morning 70s into the 50s by Friday night.
Saturday morning kicks off with wind chills in the 30s so grab the sweatshirts and sweaters. Chilly November-like temperatures stick around during the day with highs struggling to make it back near 50. Despite the chill, it will be a beautiful day with lots of sunshine-so enjoy a visit to Fall festivals.
The coldest air we’ve seen so far this season settles in Saturday night and Sunday morning, setting up the threat for widespread frost or a hard freeze.
