Female officer files sexual harassment complaint against McCandless chief, lieutenant

McCANDLESS, Pa. — The female officer who reported that the police chief and lieutenant in McCandless last year has filed a sexual harassment complaint with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission.

McCandless Police Chief David DiSanti and Lt. Jeffrey Basl were both suspended after the complaint was first made to the town, but are now back on duty.

The officer's lawyer filed the official forms late Friday and named the chief the lieutenant and the Town of McCandless.

This filing with the PHRC is also shared with the EEOC, and is therefore not a public record. But those who have seen it told Channel 11 it contains the original allegations from last fall and new allegations that have never been brought to light.

Both men have denied any sexual misconduct in the past, but neither responded to a request for comment by Channel 11 since this filing was announced.
