HENRICO, Va. — A stranger wearing a TV on their head left dozens of old tube television sets on residents' front lawns and porches in one Virginia neighborhood.
The first thing Adrian Garner thought when he saw the box on his porch was that it was an item he ordered online. Then he checked his security camera footage.
"It was a guy dressed in a jumpsuit with a TV for a head," Garner told WWBT. "It's the weirdest thing. He squats down, puts the TV there and walks off. It's really weird."
Police picked up about 60 TVs from neighbors to be properly disposed. The culprit could face littering or illegal dumping charges, police said.
Some residents believe it was a prank.
"I'm thinking it's a senior prank," Michael Kroll, who found a set on his lawn, told WWBT. "Maybe senior year going in high school, or bored college kids before they go back to school trying to create a big buzz before they go back to college and say, 'Hey, look what I did.'"
