12-year-old Pittsburgh singer moves to next round of “America’s Got Talent”

Hope you had tissues handy Tuesday because 12-year-old Ashley Marina’s song for her dad brought all of the feels Tuesday during her “America’s Got Talent” audition -- just in time for Fathers Day!

The Pittsburgh singer-songwriter sang her original song, “You’ll Always Be My Hero,” which stunned the judges. She made it through to the next round of the hit NBC competition.

NBC releases 2020-21 lineup

Missing your favorite NBC shows? Tuesday sparked some excitement as NBC released its 2020-21 show lineup and due to a successful year, the primetime schedule features more returning favorites than additions.

Viewers can expect the return of everything from NBC’s No. 1 drama series “This Is Us” and Dick Wolf’s “Chicago” franchise, to returns “New Amsterdam,” “Manifest” and its beloved comedies, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Superstore.”

Plus, in addition to “Law & Order: SVU,” there will be a SVU spin-off: “Law & Order: Organized Crime” featuring Christopher Meloni.

International Jazz Festival moves virtual

Get ready to jazz up your weekend! The August Wilson Center presents the 10th Annual Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival, this year streaming online.

The virtual event will take place on Saturday at 12 p.m. and will feature legendary jazz musicians from around the world, including Dianne Reeves, Sean Jones, The Bad Plus, Orrin Evans, Jeff Tain Watts, Joe Locke, and more.

To mark what would have been the 10th anniversary of the Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival (PJIF) in June, the event will also include a jam session curated by and led by Sean Jones and Pittsburgh- based artists, special tributes, a look back at archival interviews and footage from the Festival’s first 10 years plus an interactive dance party featuring DJ Nate Da Barber and DJ Selecta.
