"When we were researching beer, we came across a historic variety called milk stout which was made in 1802 which was when our farm was built, and we said I wonder if we can make a goat milk stout and so we worked with Ommegang and here's the result," said Josh Kilmer-Purcell of Beekman Brothers.
The beer will be officially launched to the public during the annual Beekman 1802 harvest Fest on Sept. 15 and 16, in Sharon Springs, New York.
