NORTH FAYETTE, Pa. — One woman was taken to the hospital after her apartment caught fire in North Fayette.
Chopper 11 flew on Jonathan Court shortly after flames began around 2:30 p.m.

Channel 11′s Cara Sapida talked to a woman who lived in the same building and rushed to get everyone out.
“I instantly ran got my kid, got the dogs, ran pounded on everybody’s doors, pulled our fire alarm. Well, it didn’t go off so I was banging on the doors, got upstairs banging on doors got everybody out. Unfortunately, Marge, prayers to her her family, I hope she’s okay,” Nina Neil said.
Firefighters say a total of 12 apartments were evacuated , but only the one woman required medical treatment.
“She was an older lady with health issues her family went camping and she was home alone. I tried banging on her door, I threw my body against the door, I couldn’t breath so i had to keep running outside,” Neil said.
Investigators are still working to determine how the fire started.
