Solar panels installed at Heinz Field to offset Steelers’ energy grid costs

PITTSBURGH — A number of solar panels have been installed at Heinz Field as the Pittsburgh Steelers work to offset some of their energy grid costs, according to POWERHOME.

The company helped install the new panels on the North Shore facility.

Heinz Field became the fourth NFL facility to use POWERHOME to install solar panel equipment. The company is working with professional sports franchises and athletes to expand their solar footprint.

“We hope to encourage thousands of Steelers fans to consider solar energy and think more about the environment,” said CEO of POWERHOME Jayson Waller.
