BETHEL PARK, Pa. — We now know a bullet went into the wall in the front of the AMC Movie Theatre when shots were fired outside of South Hills Village Mall this week. Tonight, we know several people are named as suspects.
It was Tuesday evening, around 4 p.m., when shots were fired in the parking lot of the AMC movie theater at South Hills Village.
According to police paperwork, it all started with several teens yelling outside of the mall.

Police say a 16-year-old was standing in the street right outside the movie theater, arguing with a group of young men in a car.
The teen then walked past an innocent man’s car, punching his side-view mirror and causing damage. Police say the man reportedly confronted the teen, saying he needed to pay for the damages. The teen and the man got into a physical fight, and that’s when the man said he heard at least two loud pops that he thought were gunshots. Police say the 16-year-old got off the ground and into the car with the group and took off.
When Mount Lebanon Police tried to pull the car over, they saw it was reported stolen. Moments later, the car crashed and four men inside got out and ran. Police caught three of them.
18-year-old Elijah Brown of Verona, another 18-year-old from Beechview and a 16-year-old were all taken into custody.
During questioning, police say Brown reportedly admitted to firing the gun twice and to driving the stolen car.
Police also say they found the gun that was used on Wainbell Avenue in Dormont after Brown reportedly fell and dropped it.
We asked police what charges are being filed for the other two people listed as suspects in the paperwork. Allegheny County police told us there were juvenile charges but after consulting with the district attorney’s office no other charges would be filed right now against the other 18 year old.,
