LOWER BURRELL, Pa. — Police and a SWAT team surrounded a home on Saturday night after a man allegedly shot into his neighbor’s kitchen window.

Shawn Lemon lives across the street.

“I got a call from...They said they were 911... And they told us to shelter in place, and they would give us a call back whenever it was safe to come out,” Lemon said.

Police said 30-year-old Jordan Lindner would not come out of his home after firing his gun.

The Lemon family said their street was filled with police for over 10 hours Saturday night.

“There were just vehicles everywhere. I mean, police cars everywhere, then there were swat trucks coming in. There was an ambulance,” said Erika Lemon.

Police said after Lindner fired shots into his neighbor’s home, he refused to come outside. He eventually screamed things like: “You’re the reason I keep having to kill myself,” and “Just shoot.”

Lindner then fired at police through a bay window and they returned fire, hitting him near the neck.

According to police, even after Lindner was shot, he resisted arrest and pulled a knife out on officers.

He was eventually flown to a Pittsburgh hospital in critical condition.

Lemon said she’s grateful no one else got hurt.

“My son was worried, and there are two little kids over here and two little kids in that house. It was a lot. It was chaos,” Lemon said.

Lindner’s charges have not yet been released to the public.
