PITTSBURGH — A vape shop in Market Square has been raided — again.
The raid comes after multiple complaints that Smoking Starz Smoke Shop is selling drugs and tobacco to minors.
Peter Boettger lives and works in Market Square — and he heard about yesterday’s raid.
“It’s a shame it’s happening in Market Square. I know they’re trying to improve downtown,” Boettger said.
According to Pittsburgh police, when detectives raided the smoke shop, they found untaxed cigarettes, a large amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, THC gummies, cash and guns.
“That’s something we cannot have and cannot tolerate at all,” Boettger added.
Channel 11 has reported on a police raid at the store before.

Last year, we told you detectives served search warrants there to look into how the smoke shop was operating.
While there, police found an employee who was wanted for a homicide in Florida, and discovered he was a Jamaican national living in the U.S. on an expired VISA. The store owner was also charged with having large quantities of marijuana, THC products and a stolen gun.
After Wednesday’s raid, police charged one person with having an illegal gun and said they’re expecting more arrests in the coming days.
